Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding 1 year from the date of promulgation.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して一年を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures
第二条（経過措置）
Except in the cases governed by the provisions of the following Article, the provisions of the Act on General Rules for Application of Laws as amended (hereinafter referred to as "the new Act") also apply to matters that arose before the date on which this Act comes into effect (hereinafter referred to as "the effective date").
改正後の法の適用に関する通則法（以下「新法」という。）の規定は、次条の規定による場合を除き、この法律の施行の日（以下「施行日」という。）前に生じた事項にも適用する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 3
第三条
With regard to the capacity of the parties to a juridical act performed before the effective date, the provisions then in force continue to govern, notwithstanding the provisions of Article 4 of the new Act.
With regard to a Ruling for Commencement of Guardianship, etc. and an adjudication of disappearance pertaining to a petition filed before the effective date, the provisions then in force continue to govern, notwithstanding the provisions of Article 5 and Article 6 of the new Act.
With regard to the formation, effect and formalities of a juridical act performed before the effective date, the provisions then in force continue to govern, notwithstanding the provisions of Article 8 through Article 12 of the new Act.
施行日前にされた法律行為の成立及び効力並びに方式については、新法第八条から第十二条までの規定にかかわらず、なお従前の例による。
With regard to the formation and effect of a claim arising from management without mandate and unjust enrichment where the facts constituting the cause of it occurred before the effective date, and from a tort where the result of the wrongful act occurred before the effective date, the provisions then in force continue to govern, notwithstanding the provisions of Article 15 through Article 21 of the new Act.
施行日前にその原因となる事実が発生した事務管理及び不当利得並びに施行日前に加害行為の結果が発生した不法行為によって生ずる債権の成立及び効力については、新法第十五条から第二十一条までの規定にかかわらず、なお従前の例による。
With regard to the effect of an assignment of a claim made before the effective date, against the obligor and any other third party, the provisions then in force continue to govern, notwithstanding the provisions of Article 23 of the new Act.
With regard to the formalities for a juridical act regarding family relationships (excluding the family relationships provided for in Article 14 through Article 21 of the Act on the Application of Laws before the amendment) performed before the effective date, the provisions then in force continue to govern, notwithstanding the provisions of Article 34 of the new Act.
With regard to a ruling of appointment of a guardian, curator or assistant and other ruling concerning Guardianship, etc. pertaining to a petition filed before the effective date, the provisions then in force continue to govern, notwithstanding the provisions of Article 35, paragraph (2) of the new Act.
施行日前にされた申立てに係る後見人、保佐人又は補助人の選任の審判その他の後見等に関する審判については、新法第三十五条第二項の規定にかかわらず、なお従前の例による。
