Supplementary Provisions, Article 2Transitional Measures Accompanying the Partial Amendment of the Code of Civil Procedure
第二条（民事訴訟法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
The provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure as amended by this Act also apply to matters that arose before this Act comes into effect, except where these Supplementary Provisions specifically provide otherwise; provided, however, that this does not affect the effect that arose under the provisions of the Code of Civil Procedure prior to its amendment by this Act.
この法律による改正後の民事訴訟法の規定は、この附則に特別の定めがある場合を除き、この法律の施行前に生じた事項にも適用する。ただし、この法律による改正前の民事訴訟法の規定により生じた効力を妨げない。
