Universities may grant the title of emeritus professor to persons who have worked as the principal, vice-principal, dean, professors, and associate professors or lecturers, who have special educational or scholastic achievements as provided for by the relevant university.
大学は、当該大学に学長、副学長、学部長、教授、准教授又は講師として勤務した者であつて、教育上又は学術上特に功績のあつた者に対し、当該大学の定めるところにより、名誉教授の称号を授与することができる。
