Supplementary Provisions, Article 2, paragraph (2)
前条第一号に掲げる規定の施行の際に、旧在留資格をもって在留する者が旧法第十九条第二項の許可を受けているときは、当該許可は、前項の規定によりみなされる新在留資格について受けた新法第十九条第二項の許可とみなす。
If, at the time the provisions set forth in item (i) of the preceding Article come into effect, a person residing with a former status of residence has been granted the permission under Article 19, paragraph (2) of the Former Act, that permission is deemed to be the permission under Article 19, paragraph (2) of the New Act granted with regard to the new status of residence that is deemed pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
