仮想通貨交換業者（かそうつうかこうかんぎょうしゃ）

In Articles 5 and 6 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 28 of 2019, a virtual currency exchange service provider as defined in Article 2, paragraph (8) of the Payment Services Act as it stood before that Act amended it: a person registered under Article 63-2.

旧免許（きゅうめんきょ）

In Article 2 of the supplementary provisions (附則) of Act No. 117 of 2001, a license from the Prime Minister under Article 4, paragraph (1) of this Act as it stood before Article 1 of that Act amended it, held by a foreign bank under Article 47, paragraph (1) of that former wording.

認定地方公共団体（にんていちほうこうきょうだんたい）

In row 7-3 of Appended Table 3 and row 4-3 of Appended Table 4, a prefecture or designated city (都道府県又は指定都市) that, facing a particularly great risk of a shortage of nursery teachers (保育士) in its area even after measures to secure them, has had its plan for an exam of whether people who are not nursery teachers have the knowledge and skills needed for childcare there approved by the Prime Minister under Article 18-26, paragraph (1) of the Child Welfare Act, as Article 18-27, paragraph (1) of that Act defines it.

救助実施市（きゅうじょじっしし）

In row 1-5 of Appended Table 4, a city that the Prime Minister has designated under Article 2-2, paragraph (1) of the Disaster Relief Act, in view of its disaster preparedness, finances and other circumstances, as able to give relief smoothly and quickly in a disaster, and whose mayor gives the relief (救助) to people in the city who need it.
