Chapter III Certification Committee of Needed Long-Term Care
The law as Act Partially Amending the Medical Care Act, etc. (Act No. 87 of 2025) leaves it, with the words it changes marked.

A Certification Committee of Needed Long-Term Care (herein referred to as "Certification Committee") is to be established in a Municipality in order to perform the examination and determination as prescribed in Article 38, paragraph (2) of this Act.
第三十八条第二項に規定する審査判定業務を行わせるため、市町村に介護認定審査会（以下「認定審査会」という。）を置く。
The fixed number of Certification Committee members is to be the number specified by ordinance in accordance with standards specified by a Cabinet Order.
認定審査会の委員の定数は、政令で定める基準に従い条例で定める数とする。
Certification Committee members are appointed by the mayor of a Municipality (or the ward mayor, for special city wards; the same shall apply hereinafter) and shall be a person with relevant knowledge and experience pertaining to health care, medical care, or for the administration of public aid of an Insured Person Requiring Long-Term Care, etc.
委員は、要介護者等の保健、医療又は福祉に関する学識経験を有する者のうちから、市町村長（特別区にあっては、区長。以下同じ。）が任命する。
A prefecture may perform the necessary coordination among Municipalities according to a request from a Municipality that intends to co-establish a Certification Committee pursuant to Article 252-7, paragraph (1) of the Local Autonomy Act (Act No. 67 of 1947).
都道府県は、認定審査会について地方自治法（昭和二十二年法律第六十七号）第二百五十二条の七第一項の規定による共同設置をしようとする市町村の求めに応じ、市町村相互間における必要な調整を行うことができる。
A prefecture may provide to Municipalities that have co-established a Certification Committee the technical advice and other support necessary for ensuring its efficient operation.
都道府県は、認定審査会を共同設置した市町村に対し、その円滑な運営が確保されるように必要な技術的な助言その他の援助をすることができる。
In addition to the provisions of this Act, necessary matters pertaining to a Certification Committee are provided by a Cabinet Order.
この法律に定めるもののほか、認定審査会に関し必要な事項は、政令で定める。
