An immigration inspector may grant a foreign national (except for crew members) aboard a vessel permission for landing in transit upon application by the captain of the vessel or the carrier who operates the vessel, if the foreign national wishes to land temporarily for the purpose of sightseeing while the vessel is in Japan, and to return to the vessel at another port of entry or departure at which the vessel is scheduled to call.
入国審査官は、船舶に乗つている外国人（乗員を除く。）が、船舶が本邦にある間、臨時観光のため、その船舶が寄港する本邦の他の出入国港でその船舶に帰船するように通過することを希望する場合において、その者につき、その船舶の船長又はその船舶を運航する運送業者の申請があつたときは、当該外国人に対し通過上陸を許可することができる。
An immigration inspector may grant a foreign national (except for crew members, and limited to those who have received the certification under the following Article) aboard a vessel permission for landing in transit upon application by the captain of the vessel or the carrier who operates the vessel, if the foreign national wishes to land temporarily for the purpose of sightseeing while the vessel is in Japan, within a period not exceeding the period specified by Ministry of Justice Order, and to return to the vessel at another port of entry or departure at which the vessel is scheduled to call.

く。）が、船舶が本邦にある間き、次条の認証を受けた者に限る。）が、船舶が本邦にある間法務省令で定める期間を超えない範囲内で、臨時観光のため、その船舶が寄港する本邦の他の出入国港でその船舶に帰船するように通過することを希望する場合において、その者につき、その船舶の船長又はその船舶を運航する運送業者の申請があつたときは、当該外国人に対し通過上陸を許可の許可をすることができる。
