For an adult ward to assume the role of a director, the guardian of the adult ward must obtain the consent of the adult ward (if there is a supervisor of guardian, the consent of the adult ward and the supervisor of guardian), and the guardian must approve the assumption on behalf of the adult ward.
成年被後見人が取締役に就任するには、その成年後見人が、成年被後見人の同意（後見監督人がある場合にあっては、成年被後見人及び後見監督人の同意）を得た上で、成年被後見人に代わって就任の承諾をしなければならない。

an adult ward toa person subject to a decision for a disposition appointing a specified assistant to assume the role of a director, theguardian of the adult wardspecified assistant must obtain the consent of theadult ward (if there is a supervisor of guardian, the consent of the adult ward and the supervisor of guardian), and the guardian must approve the assumption on behalf of the adult wardperson subject to a decision for a disposition appointing a specified assistant, and the specified assistant must, based on a decision to the effect that the power of representation under Article 11, paragraph (1) of the Civil Code is granted, approve the assumption on behalf of the person subject to a decision for a disposition appointing a specified assistant.成年被後見人が取締役に就任するには、その成年後見人が、成年被後見人の同意（後見監督人がある場合にあっては、成年被後見人及び後見監督人の同意）を得た上で、成年被後見人特定補助人を付する処分の審判を受けた者が取締役に就任するには、その特定補助人が、特定補助人を付する処分の審判を受けた者の同意を得た上で、民法第十一条第一項の代理権を付与する旨の審判に基づき、特定補助人を付する処分の審判を受けた者に代わって就任の承諾をしなければならない。
