a person for whom the status of residence set forth in the left-hand column of Appended Table I (5) of the Immigration Control Act has been decided and for whom the activities set forth in the right-hand column of that Table (excluding the part pertaining to (d)) have been designated: the date of expiration of the period of stay or the day specified in the preceding item, whichever comes earlier;
