A person eligible to enter high school is to be a person who has graduated from junior high school or an equivalent school or compulsory education school, or a person who has completed the lower courses of secondary education school, or a person who is deemed to have the equivalent or greater scholastic ability as provided for by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
高等学校に入学することのできる者は、中学校若しくはこれに準ずる学校若しくは義務教育学校を卒業した者若しくは中等教育学校の前期課程を修了した者又は文部科学大臣の定めるところにより、これと同等以上の学力があると認められた者とする。
