第二条（検討）
After the promulgation of this Act, from the viewpoint of realizing a sustainable medical insurance system, the government is to promptly examine further reforms to ensure the appropriate implementation of necessary insurance benefits, etc. and fairness of burdens between and within generations, in response to changes in the socioeconomic situation and the needs of society, and take required measures based on the results.
政府は、この法律の公布後において、持続可能な医療保険制度を実現する観点から、社会経済情勢の変化及び社会の要請に対応し、必要な保険給付等の適切な実施並びに世代間及び世代内の負担の公平性の確保を図るための更なる改革について速やかに検討を加え、その結果に基づいて所要の措置を講ずるものとする。
In addition to the matters specified in the preceding paragraph, the government is to, with a target of five years after the enforcement of this Act, taking into account the conditions of enforcement, etc. of the respective Acts as amended by this Act (referred to as "the respective Acts as amended" in this paragraph), examine the provisions of the respective Acts as amended where it finds it necessary, and take required measures based on the results.
前項に定める事項のほか、政府は、この法律の施行後五年を目途として、この法律による改正後のそれぞれの法律（以下この項において「改正後の各法律」という。）の施行の状況等を勘案し、必要があると認めるときは、改正後の各法律の規定について検討を加え、その結果に基づいて所要の措置を講ずるものとする。
