Chapter IV Measures for Ensuring the Smooth Operation of Employees' Pension Insurance Services
The law as Act Partially Amending the National Pension Act, etc., and Other Matters, to Strengthen the Functions of the Pension System in Light of Socioeconomic Changes (Act No. 74 of 2025) leaves it, with the words it changes marked.

For the purpose of ensuring the smooth operation of employees' pension insurance services, the government and the implementing organizations may engage in the following services in relation to employees' pension insurance:
政府等は、厚生年金保険事業の円滑な実施を図るため、厚生年金保険に関し、次に掲げる事業を行うことができる。
implementing education and public relations;
教育及び広報を行うこと。
providing insureds, beneficiaries, and other concerned persons (hereinafter referred to as "insureds, beneficiaries, and other such persons" in this Article and Article 100-3-2, paragraph (1)) with consultation or other assistance;
被保険者、受給権者その他の関係者（以下この条及び第百条の三の二第一項において「被保険者等」という。）に対し、相談その他の援助を行うこと。
providing insureds, beneficiaries, and other such persons with information related to procedures that insureds, beneficiaries, and other such persons carry out or other information that contributes to enhanced convenience for insureds, beneficiaries, and other such persons.
被保険者等に対し、被保険者等が行う手続に関する情報その他の被保険者等の利便の向上に資する情報を提供すること。
The government and the implementing organizations are to smoothly handle the administrative functions that are necessary to implement employees' pension insurance services (including administrative functions involved in bearing monetary contributions to basic pensions and the payment thereof under the provisions of Article 94-2, paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) of the National Pension Act (hereinafter referred to as "basic pension contributions")) and operate an electronic data processing system in order to contribute to enhanced convenience for insureds, beneficiaries, and other such persons.
政府等は、厚生年金保険事業の実施に必要な事務（国民年金法第九十四条の二第一項及び第二項の規定による基礎年金拠出金（以下「基礎年金拠出金」という。）の負担及び納付に伴う事務を含む。）を円滑に処理し、被保険者等の利便の向上に資するため、電子情報処理組織の運用を行うものとする。
The government may entrust the services set forth in each of the items of paragraph (1) and the operations provided for in the preceding paragraph, in whole or in part, to the Japan Pension Service (hereinafter referred to as "JPS").
政府は、第一項各号に掲げる事業及び前項に規定する運用の全部又は一部を日本年金機構（以下「機構」という。）に行わせることができる。
