Supplementary Provisions, Article 9Transitional Measures Accompanying the Partial Amendment of the Act on Health and Medical Services for the Elderly
第九条（老人保健法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
For a person aged 70 or more on the day before the Effective Date (excluding a person aged 75 or more on the Effective Date), the person is deemed to be a person aged 75 or more and the provisions of the Act on Health and Medical Services for the Elderly as amended by the provisions of Article 3 (hereinafter referred to as the "New Elderly Health Act") (excluding the provisions of Article 25, paragraph (1), item (ii) of the New Elderly Health Act) apply, during the period from the Effective Date until the last day of the month that includes the day on which the person comes to fall under a person aged 75 or more (if the day on which the person comes to fall under a person aged 75 or more is the first day of a month, the day before that day).
施行日の前日において七十歳以上である者（施行日において七十五歳以上である者を除く。）については、施行日からその者が七十五歳以上の者に該当するに至った日の属する月の末日（その者が七十五歳以上の者に該当するに至った日が月の初日であるときは、その日の前日）までの間は、その者を七十五歳以上の者とみなして第三条の規定による改正後の老人保健法（以下「新老健法」という。）の規定（新老健法第二十五条第一項第二号の規定を除く。）を適用する。
