Supplementary Provisions, Article 5Transitional Measures Concerning Subsidies
第五条（交付金に関する経過措置）
The provisions of Article 48 of the Act on Health and Medical Services for the Elderly as amended by the provisions of Article 3 (hereinafter referred to as the "New Elderly Health Act") apply to the expenses required for medical care (including payment of medical expenses), payment of dietary treatment expenses for inpatients (including payment of medical expenses) and payment of specified medical expenses (including payment of medical expenses) under the provisions of the New Elderly Health Act provided on or after the date of enforcement of this Act (hereinafter referred to as the "Effective Date") and the expenses required for the execution of affairs concerning those services, and the provisions then in force continue to govern the expenses required for medical care (including payment of medical expenses), payment of dietary treatment expenses for inpatients (including payment of medical expenses) and payment of specified medical expenses (including payment of medical expenses) under the provisions of the Act on Health and Medical Services for the Elderly as it stood before the amendment by the provisions of Article 3 provided before the Effective Date and the expenses required for the execution of affairs concerning those services.
第三条の規定による改正後の老人保健法（以下「新老健法」という。）第四十八条の規定は、この法律の施行の日（以下「施行日」という。）以後に行われる新老健法の規定による医療（医療費の支給を含む。）、入院時食事療養費の支給（医療費の支給を含む。）及び特定療養費の支給（医療費の支給を含む。）に要する費用並びにこれらの事業に関する事務の執行に要する費用について適用し、施行日前に行われた第三条の規定による改正前の老人保健法の規定による医療（医療費の支給を含む。）、入院時食事療養費の支給（医療費の支給を含む。）及び特定療養費の支給（医療費の支給を含む。）に要する費用並びにこれらの事業に関する事務の執行に要する費用については、なお従前の例による。
