Supplementary Provisions, Article 6Transitional Measures for Mid- to Long-term Residents, etc. Holding a Registration Certificate
第六条（登録証明書を所持する中長期在留者等に係る経過措置）
With respect to the application of Article 24, paragraph (2) where the mayor of a municipality notifies the Commissioner of the Immigration Services Agency pursuant to that paragraph of the entry, etc. in the certificate of residence concerning a special permanent resident who holds a registration certificate that is deemed to be a special permanent resident certificate (meaning the special permanent resident certificate prescribed in Article 7, paragraph (1) of the Special Act) pursuant to Article 28, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Amending Act, the phrase "the number of the special permanent resident certificate prescribed in Article 7, paragraph (1) of the Special Act" in item (iv) of that paragraph is deemed to be replaced with "the registration number of the alien registration certificate prescribed in the Alien Registration Act (Act No. 125 of 1952) prior to its repeal under Article 4 of the Act Partially Amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan, and Other Matters (Act No. 79 of 2009)".
市町村の長が、改正法附則第二十八条第一項の規定により特別永住者証明書（特例法第七条第一項に規定する特別永住者証明書をいう。）とみなされる登録証明書を所持する特別永住者に係る住民票の記載等について、第二十四条第二項の規定により出入国在留管理庁長官に通知する場合における同項の適用については、同項第四号中「特例法第七条第一項に規定する特別永住者証明書の番号」とあるのは、「出入国管理及び難民認定法及び日本国との平和条約に基づき日本の国籍を離脱した者等の出入国管理に関する特例法の一部を改正する等の法律（平成二十一年法律第七十九号）第四条の規定による廃止前の外国人登録法（昭和二十七年法律第百二十五号）に規定する外国人登録証明書の登録番号」とする。
