Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect on April 1, 2018; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect on the dates specified respectively in those items:
この法律は、平成三十年四月一日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。
the provisions amending Article 2, item (i), and the provisions of the following Article and Article 5 of the Supplementary Provisions: the date of promulgation.
the provisions amending the table of contents (excluding the portions replacing "persons with physical disabilities or persons with intellectual disabilities" with "qualifying disabled persons" and "Article 68" with "Article 72", deleting "Section 3 Special Provisions for Persons with Mental Disabilities (Articles 69 through 73)", replacing "Section 4 Persons with Physical Disabilities, Persons with Intellectual Disabilities, and Persons with Mental Disabilities" with "Section 3 Qualifying Disabled Persons" and "(Article 74)" with "(Articles 73 and 74)", and replacing "Section 5" with "Section 4"), the provisions amending Article 1 (excluding the portion replacing "persons with physical disabilities or persons with intellectual disabilities" with "persons with disabilities"), the provisions amending Articles 7 and 10, the provisions adding a chapter title after Article 33, the provisions amending Articles 34 through 36, the provisions adding a heading and five Articles before Chapter 3, the provisions adding "except in the following Chapter," after "excluding the national government and local governments;" in Article 43, paragraph (1), the provisions replacing "the following Chapter" with "Chapter 4" in Article 74-2, paragraph (3), the provisions adding one Chapter after Chapter 3, the provisions making Article 85-2 into Article 85-4 and adding two Articles after Article 85 in Chapter 4, and the provisions amending Article 87, paragraph (1), and the provisions of Articles 3, 6 and 8 of the Supplementary Provisions: April 1, 2016.
