Supplementary Provisions, Article 6Transitional Measures Concerning Medical Expenses
第六条（医療費に関する経過措置）
With regard to the amount of medical expenses under the provisions of the Act on Health and Medical Services for the Elderly as it stood before the amendment by Article 1 (hereinafter referred to as the "Former Elderly Health Act") pertaining to medical care, provision of drugs, or medical treatment provided before the Effective Date, the provisions then in force continue to govern.
施行日前に行われた診療、薬剤の支給又は手当に係る第一条の規定による改正前の老人保健法（以下「旧老健法」という。）の規定による医療費の額については、なお従前の例による。
With regard to the amount of medical expenses under the provisions of the New Elderly Health Act pertaining to medical care, provision of drugs, or medical treatment provided during the period from the Effective Date to March 31, 1993, in Article 32, paragraph (2) of the New Elderly Health Act, the phrase "Article 28" is deemed to be replaced with "Article 28 as replaced pursuant to the provisions of Article 5 of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the Act on Health and Medical Services for the Elderly, etc. (Act No. 89 of 1991)", and the phrase "paragraph (1), item (ii) of that Article" in paragraph (4) of that Article and the phrase "Article 28, paragraph (1), item (ii)" in paragraph (5) of that Article are deemed to be replaced with "Article 28, paragraph (1), item (ii) as replaced pursuant to the provisions of Article 5 of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the Act on Health and Medical Services for the Elderly, etc.".
施行日から平成五年三月三十一日までの間に行われた診療、薬剤の支給又は手当に係る新老健法の規定による医療費の額については、新老健法第三十二条第二項中「第二十八条」とあるのは「老人保健法等の一部を改正する法律（平成三年法律第八十九号）附則第五条の規定により読み替えられた第二十八条」と、同条第四項中「同条第一項第二号」とあり、及び同条第五項中「第二十八条第一項第二号」とあるのは「老人保健法等の一部を改正する法律附則第五条の規定により読み替えられた第二十八条第一項第二号」とする。
