Supplementary Provisions, Article 30
第三十条
A special permanent resident who has been registered under the provisions of Article 4, paragraph (1) of the Former Alien Registration Act and whose place of residence recorded in the original registration record as of the day before the Effective Date does not correspond to the registered place of residence must, depending on the category of cases set out in the following items, within 14 days from the date specified in the relevant item, in accordance with the procedures prescribed by the Ministry of Justice Order, produce a special permanent resident certificate to the mayor of the municipality in which the registered place of residence is situated and notify the registered place of residence to the Commissioner of the Immigration Services Agency via that mayor.
旧外国人登録法第四条第一項の規定による登録を受け、施行日の前日において登録原票に登録された居住地が住居地に該当しない特別永住者は、次の各号に掲げる場合の区分に応じ、当該各号に定める日から十四日以内に、法務省令で定める手続により、住居地の市町村の長に対し、特別永住者証明書を提出した上、当該市町村の長を経由して、出入国在留管理庁長官に対し、その住居地を届け出なければならない。
if the person possesses a registration certificate at the time this Act comes into effect and has a place of residence on the Effective Date: the Effective Date (or, if the person has departed from Japan on the Effective Date, the date on which the person first enters Japan on or after the Effective Date);
この法律の施行の際現に登録証明書を所持し、施行日に住居地がある場合 施行日（施行日において本邦から出国している場合にあっては、施行日以後最初に入国した日）
if the person possesses a registration certificate at the time this Act comes into effect and settles on a place of residence after the Effective Date: the date of settling on the place of residence;
この法律の施行の際現に登録証明書を所持し、施行日後に住居地を定めた場合 住居地を定めた日
if the person does not possess a registration certificate at the time this Act comes into effect and has a place of residence on the Effective Date: the date on which the person was issued a special permanent resident certificate pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (3) of the preceding Article;
if the person does not possess a registration certificate at the time this Act comes into effect and settles on a place of residence after the Effective Date: the later of the date of settling on the place of residence or the date on which the person was issued a special permanent resident certificate pursuant to the provisions of paragraph (3) of the preceding Article.
The provisions of Article 10, paragraph (3) of the Special Act apply mutatis mutandis to the case where a special permanent resident certificate has been produced pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
If a special permanent resident prescribed in paragraph (1) produces a special permanent resident certificate and files a notification under the provisions of Article 30-46 of the Residential Basic Book Act, that notification is deemed to be a notification under the provisions of that paragraph.
第一項に規定する特別永住者が、特別永住者証明書を提出して住民基本台帳法第三十条の四十六の規定による届出をしたときは、当該届出は同項の規定による届出とみなす。
