Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Ministerial Order comes into effect as of the date on which the provisions set forth in Article 1, item (ii) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act (Act No. 88 of 2016; hereinafter referred to as the "Amending Act") come into effect; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect as of the dates specified respectively in those items.
この省令は、出入国管理及び難民認定法の一部を改正する法律（平成二十八年法律第八十八号。以下「改正法」という。）附則第一条第二号に掲げる規定の施行の日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。
the provisions of Article 2; the provisions in Article 3 amending, in the table, the row for the activities listed in item (i), sub-item (a) of the right-hand column corresponding to "Technical Intern Training" specified in the Appended Table I (2) of the Act, the row for the activities listed in item (i), sub-item (b) of the right-hand column corresponding to "Technical Intern Training" specified in the Appended Table I (2) of the Act and the row for the activities listed in the right-hand column corresponding to "Trainee" specified in the Appended Table I (4) of the Act; the provisions of Articles 4 and 5; and the provisions of Articles 5 and 7 of the Supplementary Provisions: the date on which the Act on Proper Technical Intern Training and Protection of Technical Intern Trainees (Act No. 89 of 2016) comes into effect;
第二条の規定、第三条中表の法別表第一の二の表の技能実習の項の下欄第一号イに掲げる活動の項、法別表第一の二の表の技能実習の項の下欄第一号ロに掲げる活動の項及び法別表第一の四の表の研修の項の下欄に掲げる活動の項の改正規定並びに第四条及び第五条の規定並びに附則第五条及び第七条の規定 外国人の技能実習の適正な実施及び技能実習生の保護に関する法律（平成二十八年法律第八十九号）の施行の日
the provisions of the following Article: the date specified in Article 1, item (i) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Amending Act;

第二条（経過措置）
With respect to the issuance of a certificate of eligibility pursuant to the provisions of Article 4 of the Supplementary Provisions of the Amending Act, the provisions of the entry for the activities listed in the right-hand column under "Nursing Care" of the Appended Table I (2) of the Act in the table of the Ministerial Order to Provide for Criteria Pursuant to Article 7, Paragraph (1), Item (ii) of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act as amended by this Ministerial Order (referred to as the "New Ministerial Order for Criteria" in Articles 5 and 6 of the Supplementary Provisions) apply even before the Effective Date.
Supplementary Provisions, Article 5
第五条
A certificate issued before the Effective Date under Article 7-2, paragraph (1) of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act (Cabinet Order No. 319 of 1951) on the grounds of conformity with the criteria of the entry for the activities listed in the right-hand column under "Trainee" of the Appended Table I (4) of the Act in the table of the Ministerial Order to Provide for Criteria Pursuant to Article 7, Paragraph (1), Item (ii) of the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act prior to the amendment by this Ministerial Order is deemed to be a certificate issued under Article 7-2, paragraph (1) of that Act on the grounds of conformity with the criteria of the entry for the activities listed in the right-hand column under "Trainee" of the Appended Table I (4) of the Act in the table of the New Ministerial Order for Criteria.
施行日前に、この省令による改正前の出入国管理及び難民認定法第七条第一項第二号の基準を定める省令の表の法別表第一の四の表の研修の項の下欄に掲げる活動の項の基準に適合するとして出入国管理及び難民認定法（昭和二十六年政令第三百十九号）第七条の二第一項に基づき交付した証明書は、新基準省令の表の法別表第一の四の表の研修の項の下欄に掲げる活動の項の基準に適合するとして同法第七条の二第一項に基づき交付した証明書とみなす。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 6
第六条
For the purpose of applying the provisions of item (i) of the right-hand column of the entry for the activities listed in the right-hand column under "Nursing Care" of the Appended Table I (2) of the Act in the table of the New Ministerial Order for Criteria, for the time being, the phrase "any of Article 40, paragraph (2), items (i) through (iii) of the Certified Social Worker and Certified Care Worker Act (Act No. 30 of 1987)" is deemed to be replaced with "any of Article 40, paragraph (2), items (i) through (iii) of the Certified Social Worker and Certified Care Worker Act (Act No. 30 of 1987) or Article 39, items (i) through (iii) of the Certified Social Worker and Certified Care Worker Act prior to the amendment by Article 3 of the Act Partially Amending the Certified Social Worker and Certified Care Worker Act, etc. (Act No. 125 of 2007)".
