The provisions of Article 61-2-3 of the Immigration Control Act as Amended by Article 2 do not apply to persons who received, before the Effective Date, permission under the provisions of Article 61-2-2, paragraph (2) of the Immigration Control Act Prior to Amendment by Article 2 or permission under the provisions of Article 61-2-2, paragraph (2) of the Immigration Control Act Prior to Amendment by Article 1, and persons who received permission pertaining to status of residence to which the provisions then in force continue to govern pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph.
