Article 26Procedures for Entering the Place of Residence on a Special Permanent Resident Certificate, etc.

The provisions of Article 4 of the Order for Enforcement of the Special Act apply mutatis mutandis where the mayor of the municipality enters a place of residence pursuant to Article 10, paragraph (3) of the Special Act as applied mutatis mutandis in Article 30, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the amending Act or Article 31, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the amending Act. In this case, when applying them mutatis mutandis to a notification by a special permanent resident who falls under a case listed in Article 30, paragraph (1), item (i) or (ii) of the Supplementary Provisions of the amending Act, the phrase "on a special permanent resident certificate" in Article 4 of the Order for Enforcement of the Special Act is deemed to be replaced with "on an alien registration certificate prescribed in the Alien Registration Act (Act No. 125 of 1952) prior to its repeal under Article 4 of the Act Partially Amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, inter alia, those who have lost Japanese Nationality pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan, and Other Matters (Act No. 79 of 2009) (hereinafter referred to as the "registration certificate")", and the phrase "the special permanent resident certificate" is deemed to be replaced with "the registration certificate".
