Prefectures or Municipalities, or Societies may establish a Federation of National Health Insurance Associations (hereinafter referred to as a "Federation") in order to jointly achieve their purposes.
都道府県若しくは市町村又は組合は、共同してその目的を達成するため、国民健康保険団体連合会（以下「連合会」という。）を設立することができる。
A Federation shall be a corporation.
連合会は、法人とする。
A Federation shall use the characters "国民健康保険団体連合会" (pronounced "kokumin kenko hoken dantai rengo kai" (literally meaning "federation of national health insurance associations")) in its name.
連合会は、その名称中に「国民健康保険団体連合会」という文字を用いなければならない。
No person other than a Federation may use the name "kokumin kenko hoken dantai rengo kai" or any name similar thereto.
連合会でない者は、「国民健康保険団体連合会」という名称又はこれに類する名称を用いてはならない。
