In cases where a prefecture or a Municipality within that prefecture unjustly fails to secure the income that it should have secured, the national government may, as provided by Cabinet Order, reduce the amount that it is to bear for the prefecture pursuant to the provisions of the preceding Article.
都道府県又は当該都道府県内の市町村が確保すべき収入を不当に確保しなかつた場合においては、国は、政令で定めるところにより、前条の規定により当該都道府県に対して負担すべき額を減額することができる。
The amount of reduction permitted pursuant to the preceding paragraph may not exceed the amount of income which unjustly failed to be secured.
前項の規定により減額する額は、不当に確保しなかつた額をこえることができない。
