With regard to the validity period and the extension of a residence card (meaning a residence card prescribed in Article 19-3 of the Immigration Control Act; the same applies in the following paragraph) issued before the date on which the provisions set forth in Article 1, item (i) of the Supplementary Provisions come into effect (hereinafter referred to as the "Item (i) Effective Date"), the provisions then in force continue to govern.
