Supplementary Provisions, Article 1Effective Date
第一条（施行期日）
This Act comes into effect as of the day specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding six months from the date of promulgation.
この法律は、公布の日から起算して六月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。
Supplementary Provisions, Article 22Transitional Measures Accompanying the Partial Amendment of the Long-Term Care Insurance Act
第二十二条（介護保険法の一部改正に伴う経過措置）
Until the day on which two years and six months elapse from the date this Act comes into effect, in Article 7, paragraph (23) of the Long-Term Care Insurance Act (including the case where it is applied with terms replaced pursuant to Article 10 of the Act for Enforcement of the Long-Term Care Insurance Act (Act No. 124 of 1997)), the phrase "medical care beds specified by Cabinet Order as those where appropriate nursing is provided in accordance with the mental and physical characteristics of Persons Requiring Long-Term Care" is deemed to be replaced with "medical care beds specified by Cabinet Order as those where appropriate nursing is provided in accordance with the mental and physical characteristics of Persons Requiring Long-Term Care, or a transitional former group of medical care beds prescribed in Article 2, paragraph (3), item (v) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act Partially Amending the Medical Care Act, etc. (Act No. 141 of 2000) (limited to those in which Persons Requiring Long-Term Care are exclusively hospitalized in the whole or a part thereof)", and the phrase "those medical care beds, etc." is deemed to be replaced with "those medical care beds, etc. (in the case of a part of that transitional former group of medical care beds in which Persons Requiring Long-Term Care are exclusively hospitalized, limited to the part in which Persons Requiring Long-Term Care are exclusively hospitalized; the same applies hereinafter)".
この法律の施行の日から二年六月を経過する日までの間は、介護保険法第七条第二十三項（介護保険法施行法（平成九年法律第百二十四号）第十条の規定により読み替えて適用される場合を含む。）中「療養病床のうち要介護者の心身の特性に応じた適切な看護が行われるものとして政令で定めるもの」とあるのは「療養病床のうち要介護者の心身の特性に応じた適切な看護が行われるものとして政令で定めるもの若しくは医療法等の一部を改正する法律（平成十二年法律第百四十一号）附則第二条第三項第五号に規定する経過的旧療養型病床群（その全部又は一部について専ら要介護者を入院させるものに限る。）」とし、「当該療養病床等」とあるのは「当該療養病床等（当該経過的旧療養型病床群のうちその一部について専ら要介護者を入院させるものにあっては、当該専ら要介護者を入院させる部分に限る。以下同じ。）」とする。
