第九条
With regard to the application of Article 18 of the New Regulation to a special permanent resident who holds a registration certificate during the period specified in the items of Article 28, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Amending Act, the phrase "special permanent resident certificate" in Article 18 of the New Regulation is deemed to be replaced with "alien registration certificate prescribed in the Alien Registration Act (Act No. 125 of 1952) prior to its abolition under the provisions of Article 4 of the Act Partially Amending the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act and the Special Act on the Immigration Control of, Inter Alia, Those Who Have Lost Japanese Nationality Pursuant to the Treaty of Peace with Japan, and Other Matters (Act No. 79 of 2009)".
登録証明書を改正法附則第二十八条第二項各号に定める期間において所持する特別永住者に対する新規則第十八条の規定の適用については、同条中「特別永住者証明書」とあるのは、「出入国管理及び難民認定法及び日本国との平和条約に基づき日本の国籍を離脱した者等の出入国管理に関する特例法の一部を改正する等の法律（平成二十一年法律第七十九号）第四条の規定による廃止前の外国人登録法（昭和二十七年法律第百二十五号）に規定する外国人登録証明書」とする。
