第二条（経過措置）
For the purpose of the application of Article 2, paragraph (2), the alien registration certificate prescribed in the Former Alien Registration Act (hereinafter referred to as the "registration certificate") held by a mid- to long-term resident (meaning a mid- to long-term resident prescribed in Article 19-3 of the Immigration Control Act; the same applies hereinafter) is deemed to be a residence card.
The period during which a registration certificate is deemed to be a residence card pursuant to the provisions of the preceding paragraph is the period specified in the items of Article 15, paragraph (2) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Amending Act.
