An application for permission pursuant to the provisions of Article 20, paragraph (2), Article 21, paragraph (2) or Article 22-2, paragraph (2) of the former Act concerning the status of residence of a foreign national set forth in any of the items of Article 25, paragraph (5) of the former Special Districts Act (including as applied mutatis mutandis pursuant to Article 26, paragraph (3) of the former Special Districts Act), filed before the provisions set forth in Article 1, item (i) of the Supplementary Provisions come into effect, is, in accordance with the category of the former status of residence as a person seeking to engage in the activities set forth in the following items, deemed to be an application for permission pursuant to the provisions of Article 20, paragraph (2), Article 21, paragraph (2) or Article 22-2, paragraph (2) of the new Act concerning the new status of residence as a person seeking to engage in the activities specified in the respective items:
