Specialized training colleges are to be educational facilities other than those stated in Article 1, providing organizational education falling under each of the following items, with a purpose of nurturing abilities necessary for occupation or actual life, or working to improve cultural education (except what is provided by other laws for providing the relevant education, and what is exclusively targeting foreign nationals residing in our country):
第一条に掲げるもの以外の教育施設で、職業若しくは実際生活に必要な能力を育成し、又は教養の向上を図ることを目的として次の各号に該当する組織的な教育を行うもの（当該教育を行うにつき他の法律に特別の規定があるもの及び我が国に居住する外国人を専ら対象とするものを除く。）は、専修学校とする。
the course term being 1 year or more;
修業年限が一年以上であること。
the number of class hours or credits being equal to or more than the number of class hours or credits specified by the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology;
授業時数又は単位数が文部科学大臣の定める授業時数又は単位数以上であること。
there being regularly 40 or more persons receiving education.
教育を受ける者が常時四十人以上であること。
