**第一項**  検査対象軽自動車又は二輪の小型自動車（国土交通省令で定めるものを除く。）の所有者は、当該自動車について前条第一項第一号又は第二号に掲げる事由があつたときは、その事由があつた日（当該事由が使用済自動車の解体である場合にあつては、解体報告記録がなされたことを知つた日）から十五日以内に、国土交通省令で定めるところにより、その旨を国土交通大臣に届け出なければならない。

The owner of a light motor vehicle subject to inspection or a two-wheeled small-sized motor vehicle (excluding those prescribed by Order of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism) must, when a ground set forth in paragraph (1), item (i) or (ii) of the preceding Article has arisen with respect to the motor vehicle, notify the Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism to that effect, as prescribed by Order of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, within 15 days from the day on which the ground arose (where the ground is the dismantling of an end-of-life automobile, the day on which the owner learned that a dismantling report record had been made).
