Article 11(1) of that Act provides that, for the time being and despite Article 9 of this Act, medical insurance members (医療保険加入者) aged 40 to 64 and people aged 65 or over are not insured if they live in a designated support facility for persons with disabilities (指定障害者支援施設) on a benefit decision under the Act on Comprehensive Support for the Daily and Social Lives of Persons with Disabilities covering daily-life care (生活介護) and residential support (施設入所支援), or in a support facility for persons with disabilities that provides daily-life care, placed there by a measure under the Act on Welfare of Physically Disabled Persons (身体障害者福祉法), so far as a Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare Order specifies; nor are others with special reasons that Order specifies (in that Act as in force from 1 April 2018).
