### 第十九条の十五の三（特定在留カードの有効期間等） — Validity Period of Specified Residence Cards, etc.

    **第一項**  第十九条の五第一項の規定にかかわらず、次の各号に掲げる特定在留カードの有効期間は、当該各号に掲げる区分に応じ、当該各号に定める日が経過するまでの期間とする。

    Notwithstanding the provisions of Article 19-5, paragraph (1), the validity period of the specified residence cards set forth in the following items is to last until the end of the day specified in the respective item in accordance with the categories set forth in those items:

      a specified residence card pertaining to a notification or application set forth in paragraph (1), item (i) of the preceding Article or a notification prescribed in paragraph (2) of the same Article by a mid- to long-term resident set forth in Article 19-5, paragraph (1), items (i) and (ii) (excluding a person set forth in the following item):the tenth birthday after the date of the notification or application (if an application pursuant to the provisions of Article 19-11, paragraph (1) has been filed, the expiration date of the validity period of the old card); or

      **二**  永住者であつて、前条第一項第一号に掲げる届出若しくは申請又は同条第二項に規定する届出の日に十八歳に満たない者（第十九条の十一第一項の規定による申請については、旧カードの有効期間の満了の日が十八歳の誕生日である者を除く。）に係る特定在留カード　当該届出又は申請の日（第十九条の十一第一項の規定による申請があつた場合は、旧カードの有効期間の満了の日）後の五回目の誕生日

    **第二項**  前条第一項の規定による申請（第十九条の十一第一項の規定による申請に係るものに限る。）があつた場合において、旧カードの有効期間の満了の日が経過するまでに、新たな特定在留カードが交付されないときは、第十九条の五第一項又は前項の規定にかかわらず、旧カードの有効期間は、次に掲げる時のいずれか早い時までの期間とする。

    **第三項**  出入国在留管理庁長官は、前項第二号に掲げる時までに新たな特定在留カードの交付が困難であると認めるときは、その時までに、入国審査官に、当該中長期在留者に対し、新たな在留カードを交付させ、新たな特定在留カードの交付が可能となつたときは、当該特定在留カードを交付させるものとする。

    If the Commissioner of the Immigration Services Agency finds that it is difficult to issue a new specified residence card by the time set forth in item (ii) of the preceding paragraph, the Commissioner is to have an immigration inspector issue a new residence card to the mid- to long-term resident by that time and, when it becomes possible to issue the new specified residence card, have the immigration inspector issue that specified residence card.
