### 第一条（施行期日） — Effective Date

**第一項**  この法律は、公布の日から起算して一年三月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。ただし、次の各号に掲げる規定は、当該各号に定める日から施行する。

This Act comes into effect on the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding one year and three months from the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions set forth in the following items come into effect on the dates specified respectively in those items:

**第一項**  保険者（健康保険法第四条に規定する保険者をいう。）は、第五条の規定による改正後の同法第五十一条の三第一項前段に規定する場合において、必要があると認めるときは、当分の間、同項の規定にかかわらず、職権で、被保険者に対し、同項後段の厚生労働省令で定めるところにより、同項の厚生労働省令で定める事項を記載した書面を交付し、又は当該事項を同項に規定する電磁的方法により提供することができる。

An insurer (meaning the insurer prescribed in Article 4 of the Health Insurance Act) may, in the case prescribed in the first sentence of Article 51-3, paragraph (1) of the Health Insurance Act as amended by the provisions of Article 5, if it finds it necessary, for the time being, notwithstanding the provisions of that paragraph, ex officio, deliver to an insured person, as provided by the Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare referred to in the second sentence of that paragraph, a document stating the matters specified by the Order of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare referred to in that paragraph, or provide those matters by the electronic or magnetic means prescribed in that paragraph.
