  **第一項**  職業安定主管局長は、労働力の需要供給の適正かつ円滑な調整に資するため、都道府県労働局及び公共職業安定所からの労働力の需要供給に関する調査報告等により、雇用及び失業の状況に関する情報を収集するとともに、当該情報の整理、分析、公表等必要な措置を講ずるように努めなければならない。

  To facilitate the appropriate and smooth adjustment of workforce supply and demand, the Director-General of the main employment security bureau must endeavor to collect information on the status of employment and unemployment; this is based on surveys, reports, and other related data concerning workforce supply and demand from prefectural labor bureaus and public employment security offices. They must also endeavor to implement necessary measures, such as organizing, analyzing, and publicizing this information.
