**第一項**  法附則第四条の三第一項の規定による被保険者の資格の取得及び喪失については、法第十八条第一項の規定による機構の確認は要しないものとする。ただし、法第十四条第二号又は第四号に該当することにより被保険者の資格を喪失する場合は、この限りでない。

With regard to acquisition of status and forfeiture of status as an insured person under Article 4-3, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act, confirmation by JPS under Article 18, paragraph (1) of the Act is not to be required; provided, however, that this does not apply where status as an insured person is forfeited by falling under Article 14, item (ii) or (iv) of the Act.

When an implementing organization finds it necessary with regard to acquisition of status and forfeiture of status as an insured person under Article 4-3, paragraph (1) of the Supplementary Provisions of the Act, it may request the administering organization of the system relating to the benefits listed in the items of the preceding Article (excluding item (i)) to provide necessary materials on the state of payment of those benefits.
