**第一項**  この法律の施行の日（以下「施行日」という。）前に行われた診療、薬剤の支給又は手当に係る第一条の規定による改正前の老人保健法（以下「旧老健法」という。）の規定による医療費の額については、なお従前の例による。

With regard to the amount of medical expenses under the provisions of the Act on Health and Medical Services for the Elderly as it stood before the amendment by Article 1 (hereinafter referred to as the "Former Elderly Health Act") for medical care, provision of drugs or medical treatment provided before the date of enforcement of this Act (hereinafter referred to as the "Effective Date"), the provisions then in force continue to govern.
