  **第一項**  書類の送達については、裁判所の規則に特別の定めのある場合を除いては、民事訴訟に関する法令の規定（民事訴訟法（平成八年法律第百九号）第百条第二項並びに第一編第五章第四節第三款及び第四款の規定を除く。）を準用する。

  Except as otherwise provided for by the Rules of Court, the provisions of laws and regulations concerning civil procedure (excluding Article 100, paragraph (2) of the Code of Civil Procedure (Act No. 109 of 1996) and the provisions of Part I, Chapter V, Section 4, Subsections 3 and 4 of that Act) apply mutatis mutandis to the service of documents.
