**第一項**  この法律による改正後の民法第七十一条及び民法施行法第二十三条第一項の規定は、この法律の施行前に生じた事項にも適用する。ただし、改正前の当該規定によつて生じた効力を妨げない。

The provisions of Article 71 of the Civil Code as amended by this Act and of Article 23, paragraph (1) of the Act for Enforcement of the Civil Code also apply to matters that arose before this Act comes into effect; provided, however, that this does not preclude the effect that arose under the provisions before the amendment.
