### 第七百四十一条（外国に在る日本人間の婚姻の方式） — (Marriage between Japanese Nationals in a Foreign Country)

      **第一項**  外国に在る日本人間で婚姻をしようとするときは、その国に駐在する日本の大使、公使又は領事にその届出をすることができる。この場合においては、前二条の規定を準用する。

      If two Japanese nationals in a foreign country seek to marry, they may file an application to register their marriage with the Japanese Ambassador, Minister of the Japanese Embassy, or Consul stationed in that country. The provisions of the preceding two Articles apply mutatis mutandis in such a case.
