**第一項**  新法第四十八条第二項の規定は、この法律の施行の日（以下「施行日」という。）以後に初めて新法第六十条第一項若しくは第七十一条第四項の規定により自動車検査証の交付を受け、又は新法第九十七条の三の規定により車両番号の指定を受けた自動車について適用する。

The provisions of Article 48, paragraph (2) of the New Act apply to a motor vehicle that, on or after the date of enforcement of this Act (hereinafter referred to as the "Effective Date"), has first received the issuance of a motor vehicle inspection certificate under the provisions of Article 60, paragraph (1) or Article 71, paragraph (4) of the New Act, or has received designation of a vehicle number under the provisions of Article 97-3 of the New Act.
