**第一項** 自動車登録ファイルに不実の記録をさせることとなる登録の申請の用に供する目的で、登録識別情報を取得した者は、二年以下の拘禁刑又は五十万円以下の罰金に処する。情を知つて、その情報を提供した者も、同様とする。

A person who has obtained registration identification information for the purpose of using it in an application for registration that would cause a false record to be made in the motor vehicle registration file is punished by imprisonment for not more than two years or by a fine of not more than 500,000 yen.
