    **第一項**  委員会は、前章の規定の円滑な運用を確保するため必要があると認めるときは、行政機関の長等（会計検査院長を除く。以下この款において同じ。）に対し、行政機関等における個人情報等の取扱いに関する事務の実施状況について、資料の提出及び説明を求め、又はその職員に実地調査をさせることができる。

    If the Commission finds it necessary for smooth application of the provisions of the preceding Chapter, the Commission may request an administrative organ's head or administrative entity (excluding the President of the Board of Audit; hereinafter the same applies in this Subsection) to submit materials on and explain the state of implementation concerning the handling of personal or other related information by an administrative entity, or may have its employees conduct firsthand inspection.
