  **第一項**  管轄公共職業安定所の長は、第七十一条の規定により日雇労働被保険者資格取得届の提出を受けたとき（当該日雇労働被保険者資格取得届を提出した者が法第四十二条各号のいずれか及び法第四十三条第一項第一号から第三号までのいずれかに該当すると認められる場合に限る。）、又は前条第一項の日雇労働被保険者任意加入申請書に基づき法第四十三条第一項第四号の認可をしたときは、当該日雇労働被保険者資格取得届を提出した者又は当該認可に係る者に、被保険者手帳を交付しなければならない。

  When the Chief of the competent Public Employment Security Office has received the submission of a notification of acquisition of insured status as an insured day worker pursuant to the provisions of Article 71 (limited to where it is found that the person who submitted that notification falls under any of the items of Article 42 of the Act and any of Article 43, paragraph (1), items (i) through (iii) of the Act), or has given the authorization under Article 43, paragraph (1), item (iv) of the Act on the basis of the application for voluntary enrollment as an insured day worker referred to in paragraph (1) of the preceding Article, the Chief must issue an insurance record book to the person who submitted that notification or the person pertaining to that authorization.

  When an insured day worker has lost or damaged the insurance record book in the worker's possession, or has no blank space remaining in it, the worker must notify the Chief of the Public Employment Security Office (excluding the Chief of a Public Employment Security Office that does not handle the relevant affairs pursuant to Article 793 of the Ordinance on the Organization of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare; the same applies hereinafter in this Section) to that effect and receive issuance of a new insurance record book.
