**第一項** 初診日が平成三年五月一日前にある傷病による障害について、又は同日前に死亡した者について前条、厚生年金保険法第四十七条第一項ただし書（同法第四十七条の二第二項、同法第四十七条の三第二項、同法第五十二条第五項、同法第五十四条第三項及び同法第五十五条第二項において準用する場合を含む。以下この条において同じ。）及び第五十八条第一項ただし書の規定を適用する場合においては、前条並びに同法第四十七条第一項ただし書及び同法第五十八条第一項ただし書中「月の前々月」とあるのは、「月前における直近の基準月（一月、四月、七月及び十月をいう。）の前月」とする。

In the case of applying the provisions of the preceding Article, the proviso to Article 47, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act (including as applied mutatis mutandis in Article 47-2, paragraph (2), Article 47-3, paragraph (2), Article 52, paragraph (5), Article 54, paragraph (3) and Article 55, paragraph (2) of that Act; the same applies hereinafter in this Article) and the proviso to Article 58, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act to a disability resulting from an injury or illness for which the day of initial examination falls before May 1, 1991, or to a person who died before that day, the phrase "the month two months before the month" in the preceding Article, in the proviso to Article 47, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act and in the proviso to Article 58, paragraph (1) of the Employees' Pension Insurance Act is deemed to be replaced with "the month preceding the most recent reference month (meaning January, April, July and October) before the month".
