  **第一項**  事業主は、その雇用する高年齢者が定年その他これに準ずる理由により退職した後においてその希望に応じ職業生活から円滑に引退することができるようにするために必要な備えをすることを援助するため、当該高年齢者に対し、引退後の生活に関する必要な知識の取得の援助その他の措置を講ずるように努めなければならない。

  After retirement of the elderly persons employed by the employer due to reaching the mandatory retirement age or for other similar reasons, the employer must strive to take measures to provide support to the elderly persons so that they can acquire the necessary knowledge concerning life after retirement and must take other measures in order to support the elderly persons in making the necessary preparations to facilitate their retirement from occupational life, in accordance with their wishes.
