**第一項**  この法律の公布の日の属する月の翌々月の初日において現に公衆への貸与の目的をもって所持されている書籍又は雑誌（主として楽譜により構成されているものを除く。）の貸与については、改正前の著作権法附則第四条の二の規定は、この法律の施行後も、なおその効力を有する。

The provisions of Article 4-2 of the Supplementary Provisions of the pre-amendment Copyright Act remain in force even after this Act comes into effect, with respect to the renting out of books or magazines (excluding those consisting mainly of sheet music) that a person possesses for the purpose of renting them out to the public as of the first day of the month two months after the month that includes the day of promulgation of this Act.
