- Japanese text: e-Gov 法令検索, Digital Agency (デジタル庁). English: as marked on each line below.

Only the Japanese as published by the government has legal effect; the text
below is a copy of it. Every English rendering below is a translation and

site's machine translation, whose model and date the Sources list names.
They are never merged and never substituted for one another.

A public prosecutor's assistant officer or a judicial police official may, when executing a subpoena or detention warrant, if it is necessary, enter the residence of a person, or premises, building or vessel guarded by a person and search for the defendant. In this case, a search warrant need not be obtained.
Ministry of Justice translation with a slip corrected by this site — not the Ministry's text; the Ministry printed: "A public prosecutor's assistant officer or a judicial police official may, when executing a subpoena or detention warrant, if it is necessary, enter the residence of a person, or premises, building or vessel guarded by a person and search for the accused. In this case, a search warrant need not be obtained." — https://www.japaneselawtranslation.go.jp/en/laws/view/3739/tb
