**第一項**  この法律は、公布の日から起算して一年六月を超えない範囲内において政令で定める日から施行する。ただし、第一条中民法第八百二十二条を削り、同法第八百二十一条を同法第八百二十二条とし、同法第八百二十条の次に一条を加える改正規定並びに第二条及び第四条の規定は、公布の日から施行する。

This Act comes into effect as of the date specified by Cabinet Order within a period not exceeding one year and six months from the date of promulgation; provided, however, that the provisions amending the Civil Code in Article 1 that delete Article 822 of the Civil Code, change Article 821 of that Act to Article 822 of that Act, and add one Article after Article 820 of that Act, and the provisions of Articles 2 and 4, come into effect as of the date of promulgation.
