> 当事者の数が三人以上である場合において、第一項の合意がないときは、当事者の申立てにより、裁判所が仲裁人の数を定める。

English (Japanese Law Translation, Ministry of Justice):

> If there are three or more parties, and an agreement referred to in paragraph (1) has not been reached, the number of arbitrators is provided by the court, upon the petition of a party.
