**第一項**  この法律の施行の際、現に総務省の外局として置かれている公正取引委員会は、この法律による改正後の私的独占の禁止及び公正取引の確保に関する法律第二十七条第一項の規定に基づいて置かれる公正取引委員会となり、同一性をもって存続するものとする。

At the time this Act comes into effect, the Japan Fair Trade Commission that is actually established as an external organ of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications is to become the Japan Fair Trade Commission established pursuant to Article 27, paragraph (1) of the Act on Prohibition of Private Monopolization and Maintenance of Fair Trade as amended by this Act, and is to continue to exist with the same identity.
